Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable. We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family.
The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home senior care (We call them Comfort Keepers.) are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.
About Our Location
In 2002, owner Al Abbott picked up a copy of Success magazine at his local grocery store. On the cover of the magazine was Comfort Keepers, named as one of the top franchises to watch and buy. He quickly thumbed through the magazine until he came to the article about Comfort Keepers. As he read the article about Comfort Keepers, he quickly saw the need for a service built on the corporate philosophy and mission of Comfort Keepers. He knew firsthand the difficulties families face when caring for an elderly member of their family. He had watched his mother’s struggles, as a caregiver to his grandmother, and watched her mental and physical abilities deteriorate through the years. After it had finally become necessary to relocate his grandmother to a facility, he watched his mother spend up to twelve hours a day by her side to ensure she got the best care possible. The emotional stress that Al’s family endured during this difficult time had made a lasting impression.
Al opened the local office in June 2002 with a motto of “very good is not good enough when it comes to providing care for seniors”. With a company philosophy of “providing nothing but excellence” Al and his staff of dedicated caregivers, take great pride in helping seniors maintain an independent lifestyle within the comfort and privacy of their own homes, all the while relieving the stress felt by family caregivers.
Our office has served thousands of families in the Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL area, changing and improving lives every step of the way with our compassionate, dedicated and well-trained staff of Comfort Keepers. Our caregivers serve clients and their families as trusted partners, providing a wide range of high quality in-home care services tailored to each individual’s specific needs – from companionship and homemaking services, to personal care, to respite care to relieve family caregivers. Each of our Comfort Keepers have gone through a comprehensive screening process, and are all insured and bonded.
Every day we continue to grow and perfect the art of providing in-home senior care in the community. We often partner with other Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL area care providers, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care agencies, and hospice providers, to provide a comprehensive in-home care solution.
We understand that families find themselves in situations that they have never faced before. These times can be overwhelming, stressful and confusing. By providing the appropriate care, Comfort Keepers gives peace of mind in these uncertain times. We strive to treat every client as if they were a member of our own family.
